"My aim isn't for you to need another retreat. My aim is to help you create one within your own life."
We all know how wonderful it feels to step away from the pressures of everyday life.
The challenge is that those feelings often disappear as soon as we return home.
Learn to Relax has been created to change that.
This is far more than simply a relaxing day out. It is a carefully guided wellbeing experience designed to help you slow down, reconnect with yourself and discover simple, practical techniques that you can continue using long after the day has finished.
Throughout the day, I'll gently guide you through calming practices that help relax your body, quieten your mind and create space to simply breathe, reflect and recharge.
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, constantly busy, finding it difficult to switch off, or simply longing for a little time to yourself, this day has been thoughtfully created to help you leave feeling calmer, lighter and more connected.
Throughout the day, you’ll enjoy:
• Gentle chair-based mindful movement to ease tension and encourage relaxation
• Simple breathing techniques you can use every day
• Deep guided relaxation sessions
• Gratitude and mindful reflection
• Learn gentle face yoga and a soothing facial massage routine, using beautiful Avalon Aromas signature wellbeing oils
• Time to pause, breathe and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Sourdown Farm
Everything is taught gently and at your own pace.
No previous experience is needed.
Simply come exactly as you are.
One of the most important parts of this experience is what happens after you leave.
You'll receive your own carefully prepared wellbeing toolkit, designed to help you continue your journey at home, including:
• Two professionally recorded guided relaxation audio downloads
• Beautiful printable wellbeing resources
• Simple daily wellbeing practices
• An Avalon Aromas signature wellbeing blend
Together, these resources are designed to help you build your own calming daily routine, so the feeling doesn't end when you drive home.
To make the day as inclusive and relaxed as possible, and because everyone's dietary requirements are different, please bring along your own healthy packed lunch.
We'll enjoy a relaxed shared lunch together in the beautiful surroundings of Sourdown Farm, with plenty of time to chat, unwind and enjoy the peaceful countryside.
Fresh drinking water, tea, coffee and herbal teas will be available throughout the day.
To help you feel completely comfortable throughout the day, please bring:
• A yoga mat or similar mat if you would like to lie down during the guided relaxation sessions
• A blanket
• A small cushion (optional but recommended)
• Your own healthy packed lunch
• Comfortable clothing that allows you to relax with ease
As we'll be enjoying a soothing facial massage using our beautiful Avalon Aromas wellbeing oils, it's best to arrive without makeup if possible. (Don't worry if that's not practical—we'll have facial wipes available should you wish to freshen your skin before the massage.)
This day is perfect if you would like to:
• Feel calmer and less overwhelmed
• Learn practical ways to manage everyday stress
• Improve your wellbeing naturally
• Take genuine time out for yourself
• Develop simple daily habits that support a calmer, healthier lifestyle
• Return home feeling refreshed, inspired and equipped with practical techniques you'll continue using long after the day has finished

A little note about the weather:
With the very hot weather we are currently experiencing, I have been keeping a close eye on the outlook for Wednesday 29 July. At present, temperatures are forecast to be considerably cooler and more comfortable, creating a much more pleasant environment for us to enjoy our wellbeing day in the marquee.
I will, of course, continue to monitor the forecast carefully as the day approaches, with everyone’s comfort and wellbeing in mind.
