Adults with special needs and limitations can benefit from yoga. When they become familiar with the yoga poses, some can practice the postures by themselves, to whether it would be to instil relaxation or build a sense of self–control when they feel anxious, tired or frustrated.
For adults with special needs or developmental disabilities, yoga can have such positive benefits on their physical and mental health and well-being, including increased strength, balance, flexibility and stamina, it helps to decrease stress and anxiety and improves mental and physical health.
The Yoga sessions are adapted for any level of ability or mobility and are tailored to the individual’s needs.

I offer 1 to 1 and group sessions.

Wendy has teamed up with Orchard Vale Trust to offer Gentle Therapeutic Yoga as part of their new programme offering therapeutic yoga at the 'The Hive', Westbury Sub Mendip, Somerset; and via Zoom to their residential communities throughout Somerset.
The Orchard Vale Trust is a charity based in Somerset and has been operating for over 30 years. They support adults with learning disabilities to live life to the full by providing personalised support and enabling independence through a number of different projects throughout the community.

Wendy has been an amazing Yoga instructor, for our service supporting adults with learning disabilities.
